Richard Beaven, CFA

Portfolio Manager Richard covers Energy, Health Care, and Materials/Processing for Signia Capital Management. Prior to joining Signia, Richard was the Assistant Director of Research and a Portfolio Manager for a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm. He has also served as the President of the Spokane Chapter of the Society of Financial Analysts. Richard holds a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and a M.B.A from Gonzaga University. In addition, he is a CFA Charterholder as well as a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research.

Anthony Bennett, CFA

Portfolio Manager Anthony covers Autos/Transportation, Financials, and Producer Durables for Signia Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Signia Capital Management, Anthony was the Director of Research for Signia Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in information technology startups. Previously he was an Equity Research Analyst for a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm. Anthony holds a B.A. in Finance from Gonzaga University and is a CFA Charterholder. In addition he is a member of both the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Spokane Society of Financial Analysts.

Daniel Cronen, CFA

Portfolio Manager Daniel covers Technology and Utilities for Signia Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Signia, Daniel was an Equity Research Analyst for a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm. Dan holds a B.A. from Gonzaga University and a M.B.A with an emphasis in finance from Gonzaga University. In addition, he is a CFA Charterholder and a member of both the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Spokane Society of Financial Analysts.

Steven Neff

Director of Marketing & Client ServiceSteve serves as Director of Marketing & Client Service for Signia Capital Management. Prior to joining Signia he was a shareholder and Senior Vice President of Marketing & Client Service for a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm for 15 years. Steve holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

David Krebs, CSCP

Chief Compliance Officer David serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Signia Capital Management. David is a Certified Securities Compliance Professional and Registered Investment Advisor Representative. Prior to joining Signia he was the Network Administrator and Database Administrator for a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm for 3 years. David holds a B.A. from Eastern Washington University.

Christopher Miller

Trade Administrator Christopher serves as Trade Administrator and is responsible for all trade operations at Signia Capital. Prior to joining Signia, Chris was the Account Administrator for trading at a $2 billion Pacific Northwest money management firm for approximately 11 years. Chris holds a B.A. in Finance from Eastern Washington University.

Paul Greenwood

Chairman Paul Greenwood is the founder of Greenwood Investment Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping investment managers improve their investment processes and performance.  Mr. Greenwood is also a principal of Stellate Partners, LLC, a company that provides infrastructure and marketing services to new investment management firms.

Previously, Mr. Greenwood served as the Director of US equity for Frank Russell Company, with responsibility for all of Russell’s US Equity activities. Those responsibilities included overseeing $30 billion in US Equity funds as well as the investment advice given to institutional clients, representing roughly $1.6 trillion. He also served as a key Russell spokesperson and commentator for radio, television and national financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal. He has authored numerous research commentaries and articles about investment management.



Richard Thompson

General PartnerRichard Thompson is a founding member and General Partner of Signia Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Signia Capital, he co-founded an information technology firm, which was acquired in 1999. Previously, Richard worked as a Senior Manager at Octel Communications for over 10 years. Richard holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.



Lawrence Braitman

General PartnerLawrence Braitman is a founding member and General Partner of Signia Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Signia Capital he co-founded an information technology firm, which was acquired in 1999. Previously, Lawrence worked as an attorney with the firm Saul Ewing Remick & Saul in Philadelphia, PA. Lawrence holds a B.A. in Psychology from Franklin Marshal College and a J.D. from Georgetown University.



John Scelfo

Board MemberChief Executive Officer of Spur Industries, a manufacturer of specialty metals products serving international industrial companies. John is also a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alutek, an aluminum processing company in Spokane Washington. Prior to joining Spur Industries, John was a Vice President and Plant Manager with Kaiser Aluminum. John has over 30 years experience managing industrial companies.
